I am a beginner. The last 5 Calicos that I have shot, have all managed to come off the spear on my way to the surface. I use an AB Biller 48 Special (3 band). I have shot fish from anywhere of 6 feet to 16 feet and they still manage to get away. Any tips would be much help.

Been out the last couple days off Koh Samui Thailand. Vis sucks. If I drop down to 5m I can barley see the end of my gun.
Oh well trying some of the breathing techniques discussed here. Looking for grouper holed up. There has to be some big ones
as there are tons of babies around.

Hey heading down to Marathon for a week in July ( not mini season) I was there last year and shot some big grouper, but I am not 100% aware of where the protected areas are?
